There is a Podiatry service available through the PCN. The doctor will refer you if they think that this service will be beneficial for you.
Foot assessments and ongoing care for patients with foot problems who have an at risk medical status, i.e. people with diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, peripheral arterial disease, people who are taking Warfarin and steroids, people who are immunocompromised, e.g. receiving chemotherapy, HIV and people who have neurological deficit to their lower limbs.
This service also offers assessments and ongoing care for people who have no medical risk and these patients are placed onto curative/short term treatment plans.
